DUTY FREE ALLOWANCES RE REQUISTIONS FOR YACHTS DEPARTING NZ

New Zealand Customs Service has given guidelines in relation to maximum quantities allowed of duty free per adult.  These are:

• 3 x Spirits / Liqueur
• 400 Cigarettes
• 6 x Bottles Wine
• 5 x Cases of Beer

You need to order and pay at least 24 hours in advance to ensure delivery of your duty free supplies to the Opua Marina. The supplies will be delivered to you, by your duty free provider to outside the Opua Customs Office, after they have received confirmation of you obtaining a Customs Clearance, on your day of departure.

Duty free can not be opened until outside NZ territorial waters and if for any reason you return due to stress of weather, gear failure or sickness you will need to make arrangements for returning the duty free.

Do not attempt to directly purchase duty free after obtaining a NZ Customs Clearance.
